Re: Mortality-status of Evolution

Harish, I apologize for getting your nationality wrong. Obviously, repeating a rumor is going to be of questionable factual accuracy so I would appreciate it if you or someone else on the team would tell us which parts are incorrect. However, please do know that I do appreciate your efforts and especially those of the volunteers whom are not being paid by Novell.

The bug that you mention that took five months to triage is actually not the one causing me (and others) all the crashing problems. The bug is #330728; it's been open for almost 8 months and is one of the most highly duplicated crasher bugs in Evolution, currently.

In any event, it cannot be denied that the past year has been relatively quiet on the Evolution front both in terms of new features and bugfixes. I'm happy to hear that things will be (hopefully) picking up again.

wtf
how do you reconcile saying things have been relatively quiet when they are closing more bugs than any other project per week?

Re: wtf
You are talking weeks. I'm talking a year. That's how.
